You guys have a good team and top notch coaches! It was fun to play you guys yesterday. SE Flyers are cheering for you to do well in Gold!

Mike Burlingame:  Great place to play softball. They care about the players not the money. Love this place!!!!

Franco Romero:  Love Clutch. Great coaching. My daughter is now playing 18u and going to Bethel University to play ball. Clutch is the main reason she still loves playing and why she is playing college ball next year!

Felicia Conner:  This community of people are amazing. The players, the coaches, and the parents. I would highly recommend them.

Laura Jensen Drentlaw:  No player favoritism, no parent drama, just all about teaching girls about the sport and what good sportsmanship looks like. Great years spent with these coaches - wish we would have joined earlier!

14U Hanson - 2019 Gold League State Champions

Athletes we are looking for

  • Motivated & Talented 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U athletes who have a passion for the game of softball, a desire to improve, have a strong work ethic, and are ready to be challenged by playing at the highest level of competition.
  • Both single sport & multi-sport athletes are encouraged to play for Clutch Hitters. We understand the importance of well-rounded athletes, as well as those who want to train year-round for softball.  We provide Ala Carte year-round training for those players wishing to train year-round. Multi-sport players are encouraged to attend off-season training when available but we expect that you fully focus on your in-season sport. During the primary softball season (spring/summer), expectations are that softball is your priority sport and that you will attend all scheduled practices and games.

History

  • Established in the fall of 2010 with a 14U & 16U team. This Fall, we will be celebrating 10 years of training elite softball players.
  • We currently have eight teams with 96 kids in our program - 12U, 14U, 16U, & 18U.
  • This year's teams have had a USA Gold League State Title, Gold Bracket 1st Place finishes in the USSSA State and National Qualifiers, along with numerous 2nd & 3rd place finishes in both Gold and Silver brackets. More to come, the season is not done!
  • In the 2018-19 season, every team had at least one current or former college fastpitch player, or high school Varsity coach on its coaching staff.
  • We are members of Top Tier Fastpitch .
  • Five players from Clutch played with their respective high school teams in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) State tournament.
  • We have many players who go on to compete in college! Several have pitching, fielding and hitting records at their respective colleges. See below for our Clutch College Players and Hall of Fame recipients.

Clutch Hitters Community Outreach Program

Clutch Hitters led by John Barta and Jim Hanson have created a new outreach program as a way of giving back to our local communities. The plan is to incorporate 3 or 4 events a year that our players have a chance to sign up and volunteer time and care in making people's lives better. "I have always said that I think we have the greatest kids in our program. I think its past time that we go out and show that by giving back to our local people in need" Jim Hanson

Last project- Food drive for Hunger, 1/2-1/16 Food was delivered to the Open Door project in Eagan Thursday, January 17th. We donated over 320 ponds of food.

Past project- from December 2018, Toy Drive over 165 toys collected, worth over $3,000. Delivered to The Childrens Hospital in Mpls

2017 Over 300 toys collected for Children's Hospital in Minneapolis

On two different days in 2018 our teams worked Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen

Please feel free to contact John with any idea's that you may have.

Fill the Christmas Tree
