Umps at 8u State Bloomington

Umpires for 8u state will be provided by Bloomington and consist of 14+ youth who have been trained on the rules of the 8u league run by Minnesota Softball.

While these umpires will be trained to make the best judgment call possible please be advised that coaches, players and parents arguing the ump’s call will not be tolerated. Should the on site Director see any behavior she deems to be inappropriate treatment of an ump she will reserve the right to ask the coach, player or team to vacate the premises. At any time during the game the ump will have the discretion to ask the head UIC for clarification on a call. Should a coach ask for clarification that requires the UIC to intervene game time will not be paused.

Please remember that these are 14 year old kids so let’s all use our manners and treat them with the respect they deserve.
