Coaching is a critical role that each team requires. Our teams are nearly fully coached by parent volunteers. Please consider lending your time as either a head or assistant coach. Resources will be provided, including skills clinics and administrative help.
If you would like to coach for the 2022 summer season, please fill out an application here.
Interested in coaching and don't know where to start? Coached in the past and want to learn more? BFA has you covered!
We will be hosting a monthly coaches clinic on the 2nd Saturday morning of each month, starting in November and going through April. NEW THIS YEAR: we'll sweeten the deal by providing bagels/donuts!
These opportunities are open to everyone within BFA that is interested in learning more. Sessions are in the BFA Calendar.
Please register HERE so we can plan appropriately.
All BFA families are encouraged to use open gym times. No BFA coaches or equipment will be provided, but this is a great opportunity to practice pitching, catching, fielding, throwing, etc. A parent MUST be present at all times and all players must adhere to Bloomington Public School's COVID-19 requirements, which currently include wearing a mask at all times.
We have the following Wednesday spaces reserved for open gym from 6:00-9:00:
Back by popular demand, BFA is again offering free Sunday night clinics! These have now started. They will be facilitated by Kennedy and Jefferson Coaches with support from BFA coaches. After registering for the season you will receive an email with details for signing up.
This is an excellent way to get back into softball mode and prepare for evaluations, which will take place in March.
