Field Preparation Instructions

Utilize this Field Prep Sheet to learn how to properly set the field for game play. A copy of this is provided in each equipment box as well.

Building an Inclusive Team Culture

Coaches have a big impact on team culture. This includes ensuring that all players feel included and have the mindset to perform at their best. Currently,  college softball is less diverse, across the U.S. than the population as a whole. This inequity begins at the youth sports level, so it is important to understand how to ensure an inclusive, positive experience for all players.

Diversity in College Softball

Action Steps & Educational Modules: According to its website, Rise to Win is a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice, and improve race relations. Its partners include the NFL, NBA, MLB, ESPN, and locally the Minnesota Timberwolves Minnesota Lynx, among others
