All BFA players must live in, or attend school within, the Bloomington city borders.
This is our "draw area" as defined by the MN Softball By-Laws.
USA and MN Softball strictly establish age division requirements.
Evaluations will take place, and teams will be formed based on skills assessed. We make every attempt to place all registered players on a team but in the case we do not have enough pitchers, catchers, or coaches refunds will be issued.
Each team will consist of one head coach and no more than two named assistant coaches.
Coaches will receive all the necessary training, support, and equipment for a successful season.
All head coaches will be reimbursed one child's registration fee, and two assistant coaches per team will be reimbursed half of one child's registration fee at the end of the season.
The head coach will receive 12 hours and assistant coaches will receive 6 hours of volunteer credits. All other families must fulfill their requirements through Board of Directors or committee participation or at our hosted tournaments (BASH or 10U MONSTA).
BFA will provide the following for the players:
Parents are required to provide the following for their players:
BFA is entirely volunteer-operated. The organization cannot function without support from all families. Please look for ways to help your player's team in whatever way is best for you - team manager, keeping score, helping with practice, doing field prep/clean up, etc.
Please refer to the BFA Parent Handbook for details on volunteering and fundraising requirements.
